Strawberry Oat Milk Matcha Latte

Refreshing strawberry oat milk matcha latte with creamy layers and a naturally sweet fruity twist, perfect for a quick café-style drink at home.

Ingredients

2 teaspoons matcha
2 tablespoons warm water
1/4 cup cold water
3/4 cup oat milk (or other non-dairy milk of choice)
13 tablespoons strawberry simple syrup

Instructions

If using a matcha whisk, soak the whisk in hot water for 5 minutes before using.
In a matcha bowl or small bowl, whisk together the matcha and warm water in an “M” motion.
Add the cold water and whisk again until smooth. For a hot latte, use hot water instead of cold.
Add the strawberry simple syrup to a glass. Add some strawberry pulp too if desired.
Fill the glass with ice.
Slowly pour the oat milk over the back of a spoon or onto the ice to help keep the layers separate.
Pour the matcha over the milk and serve immediately.

Notes

Use 3 tablespoons of syrup if it is unstrained and less concentrated.
Use closer to 1 tablespoon if the syrup is strained and stronger in flavor.
Any non-dairy milk works well in this recipe.
For a hot version, skip the ice and use hot water instead of cold water.
