Crispy and flaky Scallion Pancake Croissants made in the air fryer with savory green onion flavor. A quick and easy viral snack recipe perfect for busy days.

Ingredients

Frozen scallion pancakes, thawed for exactly 5 minutes
1 beaten egg (for egg wash)
Sesame seeds or chili flakes (optional topping)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pancakes
Remove the frozen scallion pancakes from the freezer.
Let them thaw at room temperature for exactly 5 minutes until flexible but not sticky.
Peel off the plastic film.
Step 2: Cut the Dough
Stack two scallion pancakes together.
Cut them into 8 equal triangles, similar to slicing a pizza.
Step 3: Shape the Croissants
Take one triangle and roll it tightly from the wide edge toward the pointed tip.
Tuck the tip underneath to help seal the croissant shape.
Step 4: Add Toppings
Brush the tops lightly with beaten egg.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds or chili flakes if desired.
Step 5: Air Fry
Arrange the rolls in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each one.
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
Step 6: Cool and Serve
Remove from the air fryer and let cool for 2 minutes before serving.
Enjoy while warm and crispy.

Notes

Do not over-thaw the scallion pancakes or the layers may stick together.
Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for even cooking and maximum crispiness.
Add chili oil or spicy seasoning for extra heat.
Serve with soy sauce, chili crisp, or garlic dip for added flavor.
