Golden baked stromboli filled with gooey mozzarella, savory pepperoni, and Italian seasoning served with marinara sauce.

Ingredients

1 pizza dough (rolled into a rectangle)
1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
1/2 cup pepperoni (sliced)
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 egg (beaten)
1/2 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll Dough: On a floured surface, roll pizza dough into a rectangle.
Add Cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
Layer Pepperoni: Add sliced pepperoni evenly over the cheese.
Season: Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning on top.
Roll: Roll the dough tightly from one long side into a log, tucking in the ends as you go.
Prepare for Baking: Place seam-side down on a greased baking sheet.
Egg Wash: Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden crust.
Vent: Cut small slits on top to allow steam to escape.
Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
Serve: Let cool slightly, slice, and serve with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Don’t overfill to prevent leaking during baking.
Use store-bought or homemade pizza dough.
Add veggies like bell peppers or mushrooms for variation.
Best served warm for gooey melted cheese.
