Creamy Parmesan pasta, juicy steak, and rich garlic butter come together in this easy one-skillet dinner recipe packed with bold flavor and a spicy kick.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients
1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), sliced thin
12 oz spaghetti or linguine
4 cups beef broth
1/2 cup unsalted butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Seasonings & Garnish
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Sauté Garlic and Red Pepper Flakes

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 2: Cook the Steak

Add the thinly sliced steak to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Sear for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Cook the Pasta

Pour the beef broth into the same skillet and bring it to a boil. Add the uncooked pasta and cook according to package directions, about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is al dente.

Step 4: Combine Everything

Reduce the heat to low and return the cooked steak to the skillet. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy, coating the pasta evenly.

Step 5: Serve

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

Slice steak against the grain for the most tender texture.
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese melts smoother than pre-shredded cheese.
Adjust the red pepper flakes depending on your preferred spice level.
Do not overcook the pasta; it should remain al dente.
Add mushrooms, shrimp, or chicken for delicious variations.
A squeeze of fresh lemon juice brightens the rich garlic butter sauce.
