These easy brie bites are filled with creamy brie, juicy blueberries, lemon zest, and crunchy almonds for the perfect party appetizer.
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2 teaspoons finely grated lemon zest, plus extra for garnish
1 cup fresh blueberries, halved
Cooking spray
All-purpose flour, for dusting
1 (8-ounce) tube crescent dough
8 ounces brie cheese
1/3 cup roasted salted almonds, finely chopped
Honey, for serving
Step 1: Prepare the Blueberries
In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and lemon zest.
Using your fingertips, rub the zest into the sugar until fragrant.
Add the blueberries and toss to coat evenly.
Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 2: Prepare the Dough
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Grease a 24-cup mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the crescent dough into a 12 x 8-inch rectangle.
Pinch together any seams.
Cut the dough into a 6 x 4 grid to create 24 equal squares.
Press each dough square into the prepared muffin cups, gently pressing the dough up the sides.
Step 3: Fill the Brie Bites
Cut the brie into small cubes.
Place a piece of brie into each dough cup.
Spoon the blueberry mixture and any juices evenly over the brie.
Top with chopped almonds.
Step 4: Bake
Bake for about 14 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and the brie is melted.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
Finely grate additional lemon zest over the warm brie bites.
Drizzle lightly with honey before serving.
Serve warm and enjoy.
Keep the brie chilled before cutting for easier handling.
Crescent dough creates a buttery, flaky crust perfect for appetizers.
Toasted almonds add crunch and balance the creamy brie.
These bites are best served warm while the cheese is soft and melty.
Great for holiday parties, brunch spreads, and entertaining.
