Light, fluffy, and filled with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, this Japanese Strawberry Sandwich is a beautiful fruit sandwich perfect for breakfast, dessert, or snacks.

Ingredients

2 cups whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
4 slices soft white bread, crusts removed
10 fresh California strawberries, washed and stems removed

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Bread
Lay two slices of crustless white bread on a clean surface.
Step 2: Add the Whipped Cream
Spread about 1/2 cup of whipped cream evenly onto each slice of bread.
Step 3: Arrange the Strawberries
Place 3 strawberries diagonally across the bread, all facing the same direction.
Add 1 strawberry on each empty side to fill the sandwich evenly.
Step 4: Finish the Sandwich
Spread another 1/2 cup of whipped cream over the strawberries, making sure they are fully covered.
Place the second slice of bread on top.
Step 5: Wrap and Chill
Wrap the sandwich tightly in plastic wrap.
Use a marker to indicate the diagonal cutting line for the best strawberry presentation.
Chill for at least 30 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts.
Step 6: Slice and Serve
Cut diagonally along the marked line.
Serve immediately and enjoy chilled.

Notes

Use soft Japanese milk bread for the most authentic texture.
Chilling helps the whipped cream firm up and keeps the sandwich neat when sliced.
You can substitute strawberries with kiwi, mango, peaches, or mixed fruits.
For homemade whipped cream, lightly sweeten with powdered sugar and vanilla.
