Ingredients

For the Rolls
3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
2¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (240ml) warm milk
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
Garlic Butter Topping
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal portions.
Shape each portion into a ball and place in a greased baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.
Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake the rolls for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown.
While baking, mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, and salt.
Brush the hot rolls generously with the garlic butter mixture.
Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the rolls before serving.
Fresh garlic provides the best taste, but garlic powder can be substituted if needed.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Reheat in the oven for a few minutes before serving for the best texture.
