Golden, crispy, and made with less oil, these homemade fries are the ultimate quick and delicious comfort food.

Ingredients

2 large russet potatoes (or Yukon gold)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

Preheat the air fryer to 190°C (380°F).
Scrub and clean the potatoes thoroughly, then slice into 1/8-inch thick fries.
Place the sliced potatoes in a mixing bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Toss to coat evenly.
Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Air fry for 12 minutes, shaking the basket several times during cooking for even crisping.
If needed, continue cooking in 1-minute increments until the fries are golden and crispy.
Remove from the basket and repeat with remaining fries. Serve immediately.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the basket for best crispiness.
Soaking the cut potatoes in cold water for 20–30 minutes before cooking can help make them crispier.
Adjust seasoning to taste or add paprika, garlic powder, or Parmesan for extra flavor.
Serve with ketchup, mayo, or your favorite dipping sauce.
