Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)

½ cup sour cream

1 cup mixed vegetables (corn, peas, or green beans)

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt & pepper, to taste

1 bag frozen tater tots (about 32 oz)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

1. Brown the Beef

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned.

Drain excess fat.

2. Mix the Filling

Stir in soup, sour cream, mixed vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.

Mix until fully combined and creamy.

3. Assemble

Spread beef mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.

4. Top with Tater Tots

Arrange frozen tater tots in a single, even layer over the filling.

5. Bake

Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until tater tots are golden and crispy.

6. Add Cheese

Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the tots during the last 5 minutes of baking.

7. Serve

Let casserole rest for 5 minutes.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Bake uncovered for the crispiest tater tots.

Drain beef well to avoid a greasy casserole.

Full-fat cheese melts best and adds richer flavor.

Customize with jalapeños, beans, or ground turkey.

Freeze baked casserole for up to 2 months.
