Ingredients

2 apples, cored and peeled
2 large eggs
½ cup (50 g) cocoa powder
½ tsp baking powder (optional but recommended)
23 tbsp maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
1 tsp vanilla extract
⅙ tsp salt
Chocolate chips (optional, for topping or mixing in)

Instructions

Preheat oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a 7×7-inch (15×15 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
Prepare the batter
Chop the apples into chunks and place them in a blender. Add eggs, cocoa powder, baking powder (if using), maple syrup (optional), vanilla extract, and salt.
Blend
Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and free of lumps.
Transfer to pan
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top if desired.
Bake
Bake for 20–27 minutes, or until the center is set and no longer raw.
Cool and serve
Allow the brownies to cool completely at room temperature before slicing into squares.

Notes

Apples act as a natural sweetener and moisture base in this recipe.
For sweeter brownies, add maple syrup or extra chocolate chips.
These brownies are more fudgy than cakey due to the lack of flour.
Let them cool fully to achieve the best texture and clean slices.
