This no-bake trifle layers angel food cake, creamy vanilla pudding, and fresh berries for a light and refreshing dessert that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

2 cups vanilla pudding mix

4 cups milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 lb angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes

2 cups mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

Optional Add-ins:

Whipped cream for layering or topping

Berry sauce or lemon curd for drizzling between layers

Instructions

Make the Pudding:
In a large bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened. Stir in vanilla extract. Set aside for a few minutes to fully set.

Layer the Trifle:
In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer ⅓ of the angel food cake cubes.
Spoon ⅓ of the pudding over the cake and spread evenly.
Add ⅓ of the berries on top of the pudding.
Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with pudding and berries on top.

Chill:
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve:
Spoon into bowls or cups and serve chilled. Garnish with extra berries or a swirl of whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a layer of whipped cream or lemon curd between layers.

Frozen berries work well if thawed and drained before layering.

Individual servings can be made in mason jars or dessert glasses for a party or picnic.

Use store-bought or homemade angel food cake based on preference.
