The Best Peach Lemonade is a bright and fruity homemade drink combining sweet ripe peaches with fresh squeezed lemon juice for the perfect summer refreshment.

Ingredients

2 cups fresh peaches, chopped (about 4 medium peaches, pits removed, skin on)

4 cups cold water, divided

1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Ice, for serving

Fresh mint leaves

Instructions

Prepare the peaches
Chop the peaches, removing the pits but leaving the skins on for extra flavor.

Make the peach syrup
In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped peaches, 2 cups water, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, bringing the mixture to a gentle boil.

Simmer the mixture
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5–7 minutes, or until the peaches become soft and mushy.

Cool the mixture
Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes, then place it in the refrigerator until fully chilled.

Strain the peaches
Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the peach pulp, pressing lightly to extract the liquid.

Finish the lemonade
Stir the remaining 2 cups cold water and fresh lemon juice into the strained peach liquid.

Serve
Pour the peach lemonade over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves and peach slices if desired.
