This orange glazed salmon recipe features juicy fillets coated in a sweet and savory glaze made with fresh orange juice, honey, and garlic. A fast and flavorful stovetop dinner ready in 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Salmon and Seasoning:

1 pound salmon fillets

Salt, to taste

Pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon butter

Orange Glaze:

½ cup orange juice (fresh squeezed from about 1 orange)

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon cornstarch whisked with 1 teaspoon water (optional, for thicker glaze)

Instructions

Heat the butter:

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter.

Season and cook salmon:

Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper.

Place salmon in the skillet, skin side up. Cook for 3–5 minutes until golden brown.

Flip and cook for another 3–4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.

Remove salmon and tent loosely with foil to keep warm.

Make the glaze:

Lower the heat to medium.

In a bowl, whisk orange juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and cornstarch slurry (if using).

Cook the glaze:

Pour the glaze into the skillet and cook, stirring frequently, until it heats through and thickens (30–60 seconds if using cornstarch).

Coat the salmon:

Return salmon fillets to the pan and spoon the glaze over them to coat thoroughly.

Serve:

Serve immediately with your favorite sides. Garnish with fresh orange slices if desired.

Notes

Use the cornstarch slurry for a thicker, sticky glaze.
