Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

½ onion, diced

1 tablespoon minced garlic

2 tablespoons taco seasoning

1 tablespoon lime juice

8 tortillas

Optional Toppings:

Guacamole

Salsa

Shredded cheese

Sour cream

Pico de gallo

Refried beans

Instructions

In a large skillet, combine ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic.

Cover and cook over medium-high heat, stirring often, until the beef is no longer pink.

Once browned, stir in taco seasoning and mix until evenly distributed.

Add lime juice and stir to combine.

Cook uncovered for another few minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fully browned and fragrant.

Fill tortillas with ground beef and your favorite toppings. Serve warm.

Notes

Fat Draining Tip: You may want to drain excess fat from the skillet depending on your beef’s fat content. Leave a little behind to help coat the meat and blend the seasoning.

Substitutions:

Ground beef can be swapped with ground turkey or chicken.

Use homemade or clean-ingredient store-bought taco seasoning.

Any onion variety works—sweet, yellow, or red.

Storage:

Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat on stovetop or microwave before serving.
