Make Louisiana Voodoo Fries just like Wingstop with crispy golden fries and creamy white cheddar cheese sauce. Spicy, cheesy, and perfect for snack time or game day.

Ingredients

26 ounces frozen French fries

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups milk

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper

2 teaspoons ranch seasoning powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder (divided)

8 ounces white cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

Cook the fries: Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F. Arrange frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet or air fryer basket. Bake until golden brown according to package instructions.

Make the cheese sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and whisk in flour until combined. Cook for about 2 minutes.

Gradually add milk while whisking continuously. Stir in salt, pepper, ranch seasoning, and half of the cayenne powder.

Lower heat to medium-low and cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Stir in shredded white cheddar until melted and creamy.

Serve: Pour the cheese sauce over the cooked fries, sprinkle remaining cayenne if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Adjust the cayenne powder to suit your preferred spice level.

Baking on a wire rack over a sheet pan ensures extra crispy fries.

Ranch seasoning powder can be substituted with a homemade mix.

Air fryer fries are a quick and crispy alternative to oven-baked fries.
