This nostalgic frozen dessert blends cream cheese, whipped cream, and colorful fruits into a sweet, creamy delight—just like Grandma used to make.

Ingredients

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

¾ cup granulated sugar

1 cup whipped heavy cream

1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained

1 (10-ounce) package frozen strawberries or raspberries, slightly thawed and chopped

1 (11-ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained

½ cup chopped pecans

⅓ cup halved maraschino cherries

2 ripe bananas, sliced

Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth.

Gently fold in the whipped heavy cream until well combined.

Stir in the crushed pineapple, strawberries (or raspberries), and mandarin oranges.

Mix in chopped pecans and halved maraschino cherries.

Toss banana slices in lemon juice to prevent browning, then fold into the mixture.

Spread mixture evenly into a 9×13-inch dish.

Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

Before serving, allow to sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Fruit swaps: Try fresh mango, kiwi, or blueberries for different flavor profiles.

Tropical version: Add shredded coconut or use macadamia nuts instead of pecans.

Lighter option: Use less sugar or substitute with honey or agave.

Garnish ideas: Serve with fresh mint, whipped cream, or extra cherries for a festive touch.

Make-ahead friendly: Can be frozen up to 1 week in advance.
