Soft, warm, and full of flavor—this garlic and butter flatbread is easy to make with pantry staples and perfect as a side, snack, or wrap.

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

¾ cup warm water

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Make the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in warm water and olive oil until a soft dough forms.

Knead: Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for 2–3 minutes until smooth. Let it rest for 10–15 minutes.

Divide and Roll: Divide dough into 6 equal balls. Roll each into a thin oval or round flatbread.

Cook Flatbread: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden spots form and puffed.

Garlic Butter Topping: In a small bowl, combine melted butter and minced garlic. Brush over each warm flatbread.

Season and Garnish: Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and chopped parsley (if using). Serve warm.

Notes

Add a pinch of chili flakes or parmesan to the garlic butter for extra flavor.

Store leftovers in foil or an airtight bag; reheat on a skillet for best texture.

Use as a base for wraps, pizzas, or side for soups and curries.
