A fun and festive holiday milkshake made with creamy vanilla ice cream, a cheerful green swirl, and a sprinkle-rimmed glass that’s perfect for Christmas parties.

Ingredients

For the Milkshake:

4 cups vanilla ice cream

1/3 cup milk

46 drops green gel food coloring (optional)

For the Festive Rim & Topping:

23 tablespoons canned vanilla or cream cheese frosting (red or green)

2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles (for rim)

Freshly whipped cream (for topping)

Extra sprinkles (for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Glasses:

Add a spoonful of frosting to a shallow plate.

Dip the rim of each chilled glass into the frosting, coating about 1/4-inch around.

Press the frosted rim into holiday sprinkles.

Place glasses upright on a tray and freeze while preparing milkshake.

Blend the Milkshake:

Let ice cream soften slightly at room temperature (about 5 minutes).

Add ice cream, milk, and food coloring to a blender.

Blend on low for 20–30 seconds, just until smooth and thick.

Add more milk (1 tsp at a time) if too thick.

Add more ice cream if too thin.

Serve & Sparkle:

Pour into prepared glasses, leaving space for toppings.

Top with a generous swirl of whipped cream and a sprinkle of extra holiday confetti.

Add a festive straw and serve immediately!

Notes

Use red food coloring for a peppermint twist or swirl both for a candy cane effect.

Swap vanilla ice cream with peppermint or eggnog flavor for holiday variety.

For dairy-free: Use non-dairy ice cream, milk, and coconut whipped cream.
