These soft and chewy Christmas cookies are packed with chocolate chips, red and green M&Ms, and festive sprinkles. Perfect for cookie swaps, Santa plates, or cozy holiday baking!

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup white sugar

2 large eggs

1 tbsp vanilla extract

2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 cup chocolate chips

½ cup red & green holiday M&Ms

Optional: festive sprinkles

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.

Add eggs and vanilla, and beat until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients to form a soft dough.

Fold in chocolate chips, M&Ms, and festive sprinkles (if using).

Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly.

Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack—centers should remain soft and gooey.

Notes

Add extra M&Ms on top before baking for a picture-perfect finish.

For a thicker cookie, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.

Can be frozen as dough balls for future baking—just add 1–2 extra minutes to the bake time.
