Cheesy, crunchy, and loaded with flavor, this easy Dorito casserole is the perfect weeknight comfort food.
1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade mix)
1 can cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom)
½ cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend), divided
1 bag Nacho Cheese Doritos, lightly crushed
Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, jalapeños, shredded lettuce, avocado, salsa
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
Stir in taco seasoning and prepare according to package directions (usually with a bit of water).
Add cream of chicken soup and sour cream to the skillet, mixing until creamy.
In the casserole dish, layer half of the crushed Doritos on the bottom.
Spread the beef mixture evenly over the Doritos, then sprinkle with 1 cup shredded cheese.
Top with the remaining Doritos and cheese.
Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve warm with optional toppings.
For extra flavor, add black beans, corn, or diced green chilies to the beef mixture.
Use spicy Doritos for more heat.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
Freezer-friendly: Assemble without baking, wrap tightly, and freeze up to 2 months.
