This creamy Cajun pasta is packed with bold flavor, tender shrimp, and a rich Parmesan cream sauce. A quick and easy 30-minute dinner with just the right amount of spice.

Ingredients

8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 bell pepper, diced

1 onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper, to taste

Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2–3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.

In the same skillet, sauté diced bell pepper, onion, and garlic until softened, about 4–5 minutes.

Add Cajun seasoning and stir to coat the vegetables. Pour in heavy cream and let simmer for 2–3 minutes.

Return the cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Stir in grated Parmesan until sauce is creamy and everything is well coated.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste if you prefer more or less heat.

You can substitute chicken or sausage for shrimp if desired.

For extra flavor, add a splash of lemon juice or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
