This spooky baked brie oozes with “bloody” red pepper jam for the ultimate Halloween appetizer. Deliciously creamy, eerie, and perfect with warm baguette.

Ingredients

1 wheel of Brie cheese

3 tbsp red pepper jam

23 tbsp hot water

Flaky salt (optional)

1 baguette, warmed and sliced

Equipment:

Syringe (for jam “blood”)

Mini cleaver or Halloween garnish (optional)

Parchment paper

Baking sheet

Instructions

Preheat Oven:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Bake the Brie:
Place the brie wheel on the lined baking sheet. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the center is soft and melted, but not runny.

Make “Bloody” Jam:
While the brie bakes, mix red pepper jam with 2 tablespoons of hot water in a small bowl. Stir until smooth and drizzle-friendly, adding more water if needed.

Assemble & Decorate:
Carefully transfer the baked brie (on the parchment) to a serving plate. Spoon the jam over the top, letting it drip down the sides to resemble blood. Sprinkle with flaky salt if using.

Garnish & Serve:
Fill a clean syringe with the remaining red pepper jam “blood” and insert it into the brie or place it on the side. Serve warm with slices of baguette or crackers.

Notes

Jam Consistency: You want a syrupy consistency for the best “dripping blood” effect.

Pepper Jam Alternatives: Raspberry preserves or cranberry sauce work as red “blood” too.

Add-On: Top with a mini Halloween cleaver or gummy eyeball for extra creepy flair.

Make Ahead: Bake just before serving — brie is best warm and melty.
